“Why are your arms green?? What happened to your tank top? It’s green too!” my sister exclaims. As I look into the changing room mirror, I wonder if I’d become the hulk.

My entire upper-body is green! Sure, it goes well with my red hair, but what happened? I stare quizzically at my green shirt that’s lying on the chair. The culprit has been caught! But why’d it decide to leak all over me?

A masterpiece is made when we blend colors together–intentionally. This was different. Embarrassing, annoying, comical, and well…let’s add annoying again. Does this represent our relationship with others? People that are close and “rub” off on us, leaving behind what they believe and who they are.

It’s similar to this example. You’re hanging out with the usual friends. Mark is across from you and says,”Seriously bro!” For one, you’re a girl and are wondering what he’s talking about. Second, this is the phrase YOU use everyday, all the time! You feel like he’s using your words and he knows he did too–awkward moment and then you move on. The people we surround ourselves with will “bleed” their true colors whether we enjoy it or not. Next thing you know, they’re mixed with yours.

What colors show through you? Do you pass on shades of love, mercy, and forgiveness? Or the opposite?
