AdventSource broke ground for a new office building on May 31, 2012 on Union College’s campus in Lincoln, Nebraska.

The program opened with an introduction from Brad Forbes, AdventSource director, followed by a history of AdventSource on Union College’s campus shared by Gary Bollinger, Union College vice president for finance. Debra Brill, North American Division vice president for ministries, spoke about the services AdventSource provides to the division and Tom Lemon, Mid-America Union president, shared how AdventSource impacts the union and gave an overview of the project. The dedication portion of the ceremony ended with prayer by Elaine Hagele, Mid-America Union treasurer.

Following the dedication the AdventSource board of directors broke ground for the new building at 51st Street and Prescott Avenue.

Construction is scheduled to begin in June and conclude in December. The 17,000 square foot building will house the contact center, graphic arts, resource development and website support along with operations and warehouse space. Sandstone Construction has been contracted to construct the building.

Brad Forbes says, “This new facility will allow for AdventSource to expand the resources and support we provide for ministry.”
