Look up, look up, and let your faith continually increase. Let this faith guide you along the narrow path that leads through the gates of the city into the great beyond, the wide, unbounded future of glory that is for the redeemed (Prophets and Kings, p. 732).

There is a blessed hope.  There is a glorious home.  There is more than what we see here and now.  The reality of heaven starts now when we fix our eyes on the promise of Christ’s return, and press into the promises of His Kingdom.  Paul wrote this declaration of confident hope in Romans 5:1-5:

“Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; and perseverance, character; and character, hope. Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.” (Romans 5:1–5 NKJV)

What is the focus of your hopes and dreams?  Do rays from Heaven’s throne illumine the aspirations of your heart?  Are the trying circumstances of your life filled with the blessed hope?  May these words find life in your experience:

Look up, look up, and let your faith continually increase. Let this faith guide you along the narrow path that leads through the gates of the city into the great beyond, the wide, unbounded future of glory that is for the redeemed (Prophets and Kings, p. 732).

May the Lord Jesus breath His Spirit upon the embers of your faith that it may burn bright with the blessed hope of His soon return.  May all your failures be consumed in the victory of Christ’s triumph at Calvary.  May the empty tomb fill your empty heart with the full assurance of salvation in Christ.  May you find yourself seated with Christ in heavenly places (Ephesians 2:4-6), and may you look upon life from heaven’s vantage point.  May hope burn bright in your life today.  May Jesus be your portion, your inheritance, and your all in all.
