I had a big surprise and feeling of oneness with God as I realized how much He desires to be related to me. It humbled me to know that the God of the whole universe is related to me by His blood, and that He gave His life for us all—wanting all humanity unified again as one race in a family relationship. I pray as you read this, you also will be transformed by God’s love.

“If anyone’s will is to do God’s will, he will know whether the teaching is from God or whether I am speaking on my own authority” John 7:17 ESV.

We know from reading God’s word that it contains all the truth pertaining to mankind. This means that all Christians will gain a blessing from the same word (God’s word), and come to the same conclusion as they allow the Holy Spirit to lead them.

And we can also be assured that Jesus has done everything to open the best line of communication possible between us and Himself. This means that the more we know our Bibles, the more the Holy Spirit can speak to us concerning His word, and confirm its truth to our minds.

So, if we desire to follow God’s will, and be not hearers only of His word (James 1:22 ESV), God will give us discernment to know and follow the truths in His word —that His words are truly those of His Son Jesus, and that He and His Son are ONE.

Our Omnipresent God

I’m so glad that Jesus said that He’s THE Way, THE Truth, and THE Life. And if we truly walk in His ways, He will impart to us His truth, so that we can live a life like His Life (Galatians 2:20 ESV), even in a perverse world, through challenging times.

I see here God’s promise to lead us into all THE truth (John 16:13 ESV). “When the Spirit of truth comes, He will guide you into all THE truth, for He will not speak on his own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak, and He will declare to you the [future] things that are to come.”

The fact that we are called brothers of Christ (Hebrews 2:11 ESV), and He calls us His friends (John 15:15 ESV), gives to the Christian abilities of knowing the mind of Christ (1 Corinthians 2:16 ESV), concerning His will for our lives. And as our Friend and Brother (Proverbs 18:24 ESV), He won’t holdback anything pertaining to His will for our lives. Even to the point of declaring “things that are to come” (John 16:13 ESV).

God promises that we’ll have discernment and know the difference between truth (His Word), and error—unauthorized voices.

We have the Lord’s word, its authorized pure doctrine, and it will hold up to any test when applied to our lives (2 Timothy 3:16-17 ESV). What a blessed assurance and promise from God’s word, that we can surely trust.

Friend, the enemies are unseen, but the evidence remains seen throughout our world today. But let’s not let anything separate us from the love of God. “For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor THINGS TO COME, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Romans 8:38-39 ESV). “Besides this you know the time, that the hour HAS COME for you to wake from sleep. For salvation is nearer to us now than when we first believed” (Romans 13:11 ESV).

And as the day that you are now reading this draws to a close, may you find peace, joy, and hope in knowing that drawing near to our God will bring the victory you so desire.

Let’s draw upon the strength our Savior, Brother, and Friend has for each of us, claim this promise, and let’s make it our prayer in closing:

Psalm 69:18 (ESV) “Draw near to my soul, redeem me; ransom me because of my enemies!”
