The Renewed Hope food pantry and the Sion Hispanic Church recently provided assistance with food for 40 families, says Karen Whitson, pantry director. “It was a beautiful sunny day, great weather, and a great way to celebrate President’s Day, helping people who need food. Praise God for all this food and for the Hope Bus.”
The Hope Bus is a new Adventist Community Services program for the entire KC metro area. Renewed Hope will partner with churches in the KC area that want to host a food pantry event. The next planned Hope Bus food pantry is at the New Life Community Church in Olathe, planned for Sunday, March 27.
Anyone in the Kansas City area who would like to form an Adventist Community Services team at their church and host a Hope Bus food pantry event can get in touch with Whitson.
