Nearly 200 women attended the Rocky Mountain Conference-wide women’s retreat at Glacier View Ranch Sept. 16-18. From the moment the first women arrived until the last departed, the friendship and fellowship of women from around the conference and beyond was evident.
Activities included worship with the praise team, individual and group prayer in the Prayer Room and Prayer Garden, inspirational skits portraying the retreat theme, sister circles for small-group inspiration and support, many organized activities for Saturday evening, and a Sunday morning prayer walk.
Featured speaker, Elizabeth Talbot, speaker/director for the Jesus 101 Biblical Institute, is passionate about the good news of Jesus Christ. Her “calling” is to lift up Jesus that He may draw all to Himself.
“It’s like fire in my bones,” she says, and she means it. Her four sessions, LOVED by Grace, REDEEMED by Grace, CALLED by Grace and ASSURED by Grace, allowed every woman to embrace being a Daughter of Grace.
As evidence of Jesus’ desire to draw all to Himself, one of the women shared her desire for baptism at the retreat. She was baptized Sunday morning by Elizabeth Talbot and her joy was celebrated by all.
Comments from attendees say it all: “I was expecting a pleasant, but superficial spiritual weekend. WOW!!!! Was I wonderfully surprised! It was deep, relevant and practical. Thank you!”
“My hope is restored in God, His Word, and the Adventist Church.”
“We praise God! The presence of the Lord and His blessing was evident throughout the retreat. From each of us, as Daughters of Grace, we say, ‘To God be the glory!'”
