Have you heard about the Proverbs 31 woman? Better yet do you know a P31 Woman?
A wife of noble character, worth many rubies, her husband has great confidence in her and she brings him good not harm. She works with eager hands, brings food from afar, gets up while it is still dark providing food for her family and blah blah blah.
Hum I wonder how Bob would compare me to this P31 woman? Considering my blah, blah, blah, he probably would not say a word he would only smile.
If you have read this blog for a couple of years you know it is always a struggle when it’s time for him to buy me a gift. Now don’t you start thinking a gift is all I am interested in because it’s not true BUT I do like to know I am special. Do you remember the year he polished my toes for Mother’s Day? Now that was sweet, I admit it.
I know you are holding your breath just wondering what happened this year. Here’s how it went down. On Friday my friend and I were out shopping at Von Maur’s, now if you know shopping in Lincoln you know Von Maur’s is a nice store. We were just looking until I saw a purse, well maybe THE purse. I like a good purse and this one looked perfect. Perfect purse, wrong price.
I came home talking about the purse, this morning he gave me a good amount of money toward THE purse. I do have two gift certificates that I have not spent soooooooooooooooooooooooooooo maybe I will bite the bullet and get the purse. IDK what if I get it home, use it and then don’t like it so well?
I have two dilemmas 1. What if I need the money I spend foolishly on an expensive purse when a $25 purse would work? 2. What about my piano student who had to quit lessons because his parents can’t afford to pay for them? What to do.
