Honorable Mention: Rowan Ball
Camping at North Star Camp is fun. You can do all sorts of activities. Some of my favorite things to do are tubing, waterskiing, rock climbing and canoeing. Most kids, even myself, go there for them.
My biggest reason to go to camp though is to have a close relationship with God. The counselors and staff have guided me through worship, activities, and assured me that I can do things. They have been such a blessing to me. I want to thank them.
Going there has changed my life because it has helped me to understand God better. I want to know Him better because He has done so much for me. He has for many years given me the money to go to camp. Camp has made me happier, more helpful to others, and it has given me a kinder spirit. God has gotten me through many challenges at camp such as getting over my fears. Camp has made me more confident and sure of myself. I have learned to be kind, patient, helpful, and good-tempered. These are all the things I need to be a better friend to others. I love nature more than I used to because I can see God when I go on hikes. The people of North Star Camp have made me want to read my Bible and know God better.
