So the people stayed home. And they rested. They read good books. And took warm baths and ate simple food.

Some sang, some played, some created art.

They laughed and learned new things and praised God. And everyone prayed. A lot.

They talked…and they listened deeply. They began to understand each other and respect each other and love each other.

Their love grew so strong that by the time they went out into the world again they were a powerful force for the kingdom of God—a united spiritual movement full of vitality and joy and graciousness.

And then, it began to rain…Holy Spirit droplets; then streams; then rushing torrents.

And God saw it and was pleased. And He set His rainbow in the sky.
