Minnesota pastors and teachers gathered at North Star Camp in early August for our annual time of training and fellowship. This year attendees received special training during a course on Emotional Intelligence. The class, taught by Dr. Bob Overstreet of Southern Adventist University, provided some much-needed tools to navigate through the great demands and challenges of pastoral and teaching ministries and carry these heavy responsibilities more capably.
In addition, they and their families participated in activities such as swimming, boating, rock climbing, horseback riding, low ropes and paintball amid the beauty of North Star Camp. We had an abbreviated time of work-related meetings so that our employees could enjoy some relaxation and fellowship.
A high point in our meetings was the recognition of those employees who have served for certain”milestone years” of ministry. A special certificate was given out along with some prizes for lengthy tenures of service. The Minnesota Conference leadership values our employees and are dedicated to their well-being.
