Four Mid-America educators joined LouAnn Howard, director of education, at the 2022 ASCD Annual Conference. The theme of the conference was Recharge & Reconnect. The Association for Supervision and Curriculum Department (ASCD) holds an annual conference that focuses on all aspects of PK-12 and higher education. Each year, Mid-America sponsors up to ten elementary educators at the annual convention. This year, Jennifer Ewers (Iowa-Missouri), Susan Byers (Union College), LouAnn Howard, Karli Kuehmichel (Iowa-Missouri), and Christal Matsumoto (Minnesota) attended the conference. Other participants were unable to attend due to various last minute issues.
Mid-America also sponsors teachers at two secondary subject-area national conferences annually. We are happy that we can support the professional development of our teachers.
