Year-to-date baptismal statistics for 2011 are showing significant gains for conferences in the Mid-America Union.
Between the first and second quarters of 2011, Iowa-Missouri Conference more than tripled its number of baptisms and Minnesota Conference nearly doubled its numbers. Dakota Conference and Rocky Mountain Conference also experienced first to second quarter gains.
Central States Conference and Minnesota Conference more than doubled their number of baptisms from second to third quarter 2011. During that same period Kansas-Nebraska Conference also reported nearly doubling their number of baptisms.
The combined number of baptisms for all conferences to date is 1,465.
