Tom Osborne is a name many sports enthusiasts will be familiar with, but for those who may not know Mr. Osborne (especially those who live outside Nebraska), let me give you a little background. Mr. Osborne is perhaps best known as a long-time coach of the Nebraska Cornhuskers football team. During his tenure, he coached the Huskers to three national championships (in the video’s introduction I mistakenly said it was two). Aside from being a successful coach, he was also a congressman for six years and is currently the Athletic Director for the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. He was nice enough to spend 15 minutes answering a few questions with Outlook‘s managing editor.
This is one interview you don’t want to miss. Have you ever wondered what things a person who has accomplished as much as Mr. Osborne has finds to be truly meaningful? Now’s your chance to find out! You’ll also see what he considers success to be both on–and off–the field. For Christians and non-Christians alike, this interview offers a unique take on the world of college athletics.
