As the rain falls today I am reminded of this lesson: God wants to grow us. We are the plants and we need His word and water (the Holy Spirit). With these I can flourish and produce flowers or vegetables (the character of Christ) —whatever God calls me to produce.
But I must be fed by the Master Gardner. I need compost (Bible study and fellowship) —the nutrients that feed me and cause me to grow.
I get so tickled when I garden. God and me in the dirt. I learn so much from my Teacher. I am Mary sitting at the feet of Jesus just soaking it in……
Take time out of your daily rat race and decide what really is important to survive—and what can you do without.
Slow down. Listen to that small voice trying to talk to you……plant a garden and eat rich, nutritious food.
