This week my lower graders were full of giggles and smiles as they bundled up to join me on a virtual field trip to the North Pole in search of polar bears. We finished up our field trip at the San Diego Zoo, visiting each of the main animal exhibits—including the polar bears—via their live webcams.
Teachers around the world have been challenged to take their creativity to a whole new level as we adjust to this unprecedented time and continue to educate our precious students, though we cannot meet in our classrooms.
Though challenging, the transition to distance learning has also been exciting and rewarding. I am so thankful to have access to the resources and technology that have made all of this possible. God’s blessings have clearly shown through the challenges and uncertainty.
