After learning of the film’s existence and the importance of its message, the Council Bluffs (IA) Church voted to host showings of Hell and Mr. Fudge (watch trailer above).
The film will be shown at Iowa-Western Community College’s Looft Hall Auditorium (2700 College Road, Council Bluffs, IA) at 8:00 pm on Saturday, Sept. 14 and at 6:00 pm on Sunday, Sept. 15. (Click here for admission/ticket information.)
Based on a true story, Hell and Mr. Fudge follows young Bible-belt preacher Edward Fudge through a systematic study of hell that leads him to question many of his core beliefs about God, judgment and eternity.
Church members see the film as a way to foster discussion about the topic of hell in a non-threatening way and in a more familiar setting for those who may be uncomfortable in a church building. Movie-goers will be invited to attend a three-week follow-up evangelistic series, as well as offered Bible studies for further information on hell and other Bible topics.
