We are delighted to share with you the latest developments and updates from Maplewood Academy! School started on Aug. 20, 2023 with 71 students enrolled, which is a 16 percent increase in enrollment over last year. We kicked off the school year with Molly Dupper leading week of prayer, helping our students focus on growing closer to Jesus as they begin to dive into their school work.
As we started the new school year, we were thrilled to welcome our new staff members: Eudalio De Franca, vice principal for finance; Maritza Perez, head girls dean; Dianne Ferry, music teacher; and Bill Mitchell, athletic director and student recruiter. As a team, our MWA staff are dedicated to enriching the lives of our students and fostering a supportive educational environment.
At MWA, students enjoy a Christ-centered academic program preparing them for college and engaging in community outreach, service and mission projects. Our focus on extensive music instruction and performance, art education and expression, and a range of athletic programs ensures a well-rounded and enriching experience for every student. As we prepare for mission trips and community outreach, we aim to instill in our students a sense of purpose and compassion for others. These experiences broaden their horizons, foster personal growth, and deepen their understanding of the world’s diverse needs.
You are invited to join us in supporting our upcoming mission trip with Pathway to Health, an organization we are collaborating with to plan our trip. This year, students will have the opportunity to make a lasting impact on the lives of others through valuable medical and non-medical services. Additionally, our students will embark on a study tour to Washington, DC, opening their minds to unique learning opportunities found in the nation’s capital.
We are actively seeking bright young minds in grades 9-12 who are eager to grow, learn and connect with Jesus. If you know a student who would thrive in our warm and friendly environment with dedicated and engaging teachers, we encourage you to reach out and spread the word about Maplewood Academy. Partner with us by introducing students to MWA who are ready to embrace a journey of growth, service and connection with Jesus. By enrolling a student at Maplewood Academy, you are helping transform them into future leaders, not only in their communities but also within the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
Spread the word, share the opportunity, and let’s make this school year at Maplewood Academy truly remarkable for our students and community. Even though our school year has already started, students are welcome to apply and join our vibrant educational community for the current school year. Or, if you’re interested in enrollment for the 2024-2025 school year, we’d be happy to discuss that as well.
To learn more about enrollment and financial aid possibilities, call MWA at 320.587.2830 or visit our website at www.maplewoodacademy.org. We invite you to stay connected and join us in shaping a brighter future for the leaders of tomorrow. Together, let’s make a difference in the lives of young individuals and prepare them to be compassionate, responsible and influential members of society.
