Maurice R. Valentine II was voted as president of the Lake Union Conference yesterday during a special Executive Committee session. He replaces Don Livesay, who served as president for 12 years and is retiring Oct. 1.

Before joining the Lake Union Conference as executive secretary in Nov. 2015, Valentine worked in the Mid-America Union as vice-president for administration (executive secretary) and ministerial director. He also served as president of the Central States Conference.
