Clergy sexual abuse is a problem in every denomination around the globe. August 1 is Clergy Sexual Abuse Awareness & Prevention Day, with events scheduled throughout the month. Sponsored by The Hope of Survivors, the goal goes beyond the ministry’s primary purpose of providing support to victims of sexual abuse by anyone in the role of spiritual authority. The month of August is dedicated toward raising awareness of the issue and educating clergy, church members and the public at large.

Activities planned during August include exhibiting at the ASI Convention in Sacramento, CA; participating in Prime 11 Cinemas Monday Night Sponsorship Program in Redding, CA; testimony/benefit concerts in Vancouver, WA, and Simpsonville, SC; conducting a Hope & Healing victim’s conference in Indianapolis, IN; a TV interview in NM; screening of the documentary Call It Anything But Love! in the UK; and much more!
